One more Thank You Card

Its fun participating in giveaways and challenges. And in one such of giveaways, I won a few pattern papers. So as a token of thanks I had made the following card..

I used Kraft cardstock as the card base. I had bought a corner flower bunch stamp recently from Micheals.. I loved playing with that. The flowers are so beautiful. It can be used without coloring the way I did for this card or can even fill it with wonderful colors.. Then I embellished the card with punched butterflies and a ribbon bought from Target.

Embossed Thank You Card

We had got lots of gifts during a party last month. I was creating Thank You card for the gifts we received. Well now I know I should always have a bundle of thank you cards ready :) . Here is one of the card I created:

I first heat embossed flower stamp using white embossing powder a few times. The stamp was from the dollar bins of Micheals. Then used the broken china distress ink for the background color. Then Iembossed the same flower stamp and a butterfly stamp two times, this time with black embossing powder. Colores the images using distress ink and fuzzy cut the images. Used foam adhesives to o u the handcut images. Used hero arts "Thank You" stamp for the sentiment. Using a black marker gave faux stitches.

Valentine's Day Spl

This is my first Valentine's Day with my husband. My gift to him, of course other than cooking his favorites :), was an altered picture frame:

I'm proud of what I created :p.

I got a picture frame from Micheals , the dollar one. Painted it white and added loads of embellishment.

For the butterflies, I used 7 Gypsies stamp. I colored them using water color pencils.
The various kinds of roses, rose buds are all handmade.
I colored the rose petals as well as punched hearts on edges with marker, sprayed them with water so that I get a water color effect.
Humming bird stamp was of inkadinkado and again I used water color pencils to color them.

Happy B'day Card from scraps

This week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge had the following sketch:

I had so many scraps from other cards lying around my desk. I didn't have the heart to just throw it away. So as I saw the sketch, thought why not make a simple b'day card. So I came up with the following card:

Gosh I didn't realize the pic was not straight :p .. I apologize for that..

Anyways I used a new fresh card stock for the base, that was not a scrap :p .. For the rest, the pattern paper, card stocks for the circle were all left over stuff.. I added a button as I felt, the card was too plain.

Jar Of Hearts Card

This is the card I created for my husband.. No not for Valentines Day.. But just a normal day to let him know that I love him.

I used a stamp that I got from Micheals. I created a small window opening card. Clear Embossed the card using wood grain stamp.

P.S. : Hubby loved the card :) :) !!

Birthday Card With Party Banners

I have been seeing number of cards in other blogs with banners. I have seen stamps with banners. This inspired me to create a card with them. Since I didn't have such a stamp, I cut them individually in differt pattern papers.  The banners give a nice party feel to the card which is very appropriate for a birthday. I used one of the recollection stamp and embossed the sentiment . I loved this simple card :) .

Birthday Card

I created a birthday card with a few stamps I had in hand. I am entering this to
Sandy's Crafty Creations - Anything goes for a birthday challenge

Since I didn't have a scallop punch, I used small cut circles to create the pink border. Colored the gifts and the balloon and used glue dots to attach them to the card. This card was inspired from one of the YouTube videos.

Friendship Card

I loved the sketch provided for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 71. It can be used for any occasion. I used it to make a card for friendship. I made a clean and simple card. I created a dark brown tag and stamped "thank you" as a background image. I added a small banner to include "for your friendship" message and a small punched heart as an embellishment.

"You're the best" Card

I created a card for two challenges. One is for Mojo Monday 278. There were following two sketches to choose from and I chose the square one.

The other is Color Combo Challenge 147.  I had to use the following colors for the card.

So keeping in mind the above two challenges I created a simple card with Hero arts stamp sentiment.
